Welcome to Ballallaba
Ballallaba is a small volunteer community action group setting
out to learn from nature her hidden mysteries for sustaining bio-diversity.
The following Ballallaba Journey hopes that through the development
of an understanding of the needs of bio-diversity in nature that
abetter appreciation of cultural diversity in society will emerge.
For cultural diversity like natures bio-diversity is an indication
of a healthy environment, a healthy society.
Ballallaba is an Aboriginal word whos spirit was awakened in 2000,
to share its meaning as a sanctuary, a place of sweet repose. The
Ballallaba spirit having been reawakened now calls on us to introduce
respect for cultural integrity into land and water management and
rehabilitation initiatives.
This Ballallaba web site is being developed to honour this cultural
obligation. At its heart will lie our obligation; to duty of care,
to care for the environment and to care for its people. As a group,
we will be seeking to heal social and environmental degradation
through positive solutions and refraining from negative recriminations.
The navigation bar across this page is only an indication of the
sites' direction. Each page is within itself a pathway, with each
pathway or page forming a concentric circle within the cycle of
life as we journey to the centre of our discovery
For what has been and what is yet to come are insignificant
when compared to that which lies within. Nobody can
give you a vision; you need to look within for the
light of your soul, to show you your vision of what
can be if you have the courage to follow your dream.
So come, kick off your shoes and stand on sacred ground
... set your spirit free ... dream out loud and see
how much better the world can be ...
