Lit by royalty, indigenous elders and eminent peacemakers in the Americas, Australasia, Africa and Asia, seven Millennium Flames were flown across the oceans to be combined together at the 1999 Life International Conference, North Wales, UK. The result is the World Peace Flame.

The World Peace Flame is now being installed in the world's centres of decision-making, being carried into war zones and visiting thousands of places of cultural and religious significance. It is now travelling 50,000 km worldwide - as a live flame - reaching millions of people and highlighting the earth's most positive role models for peace.
